The Oldham Open 2019 & 2022

The Oldham Open 2019 & 2022 are a biennial project that usually occurs at Gallery Oldham every two years. These events involved curating and hanging pieces of work, selecting appropriate pieces to be displayed, and organizing wall information about the artists. The project also involved speaking during a tour of the open to members of the public and arranging interviews with the artists. It showcased the ability to assist with curating and hanging pieces of work and the skill to select appropriate works to be displayed.

The Oldham Open 2022 aimed to engage the local community through a series of self-devised workshops held within my own home, during which submission fees were waived for participants in recognition of the cost-of-living crisis in the low-income area. The project successfully displayed the resulting artworks from children ranging from 3 to 12 years old, showcasing the talent and creativity within the community.
